FILM REEL
PRODUCED BY MUSE METHODS
This reel includes excerpts from “Eve R. Green” written, directed and produced by Lynette Elouise through Muse Methods. Eve R. Green is a digital choreopoem which Lynette Elouise defines as an experimental digital narrative structure which uses poetry and dance to tell one story. In Eve R. Green, Lynette Elouise chooses to enter the mind of one woman on her journey towards growth and healing.
The second piece featured is “Afrodescendiente,” Lynette Elouise’s inaugural documentary short. “Afrodescendiente,” which directly translates to African descendent, is a story about racial experiences in Cuba despite Fidel’s 1959 proclamation of a raceless Cuba. The piece depicts the universality of racial hierarchies and disenfranchised black bodies using art, in this case hip hop music, as an expressive outlet with hopes of reform.
